Need to remove or delete Industrial IoT (IIoT) sensor data from your IIoT devices on Valarm Tools Cloud? Once you’ve got your IIoT sensor data on Valarm Tools Cloud / Tools.Valarm.net, you can upload your latest remote monitoring information as often as you need. For some of our customers this is once an hour, for others it’s every 15 minutes or 1 minute.
Valarm Tools Cloud is a flexible IIoT platform so it’s up to you and you’re free to choose what works best for your deployment scenarios. Your organization can send sensor telemetry data to Tools.Valarm.net via GSM 3G cell network, ethernet, or WiFi. You can use the power source that works best for you – solar, wind, 110V mains / standard wall power, or your other preferred method for providing electrical power.
You can upload / send as much sensor data as you need to Valarm Tools Cloud. If you’ve got some data you want to remove or delete, it’s pretty quick and easy with the feature you’ll learn about here!
After you’ve logged in to Valarm Tools Cloud go to the Device Manager page. Click your IIoT device that you need to delete data from and you’ll see a page like you see in the screenshots here.
Click the checkbox next to any remote sensor data collection point / record / row.
Then you’ll see the Big Red Button on the left that you can click after you’ve checkmarked all of the items you need to remove. When you’re ready, go ahead and click the delete button to get rid of the data you no longer want to see.
After you click the delete button then you’ll get a confirmation message making sure you really, truly want to remove this row of sensor information. There’s no undo, CMND-CTRL-Z, oops!, undelete, recovery, or going back once you confirm the deletion / removal of your sensor data collection point. You’ve been warned!
Click OK / Yes to verify and confirm that you’re confident in your decision to remove the data. That’s it. Now that data’s gone and disappeared forever. No worries, you can always measure and monitor your remote assets to quickly and easily add more rows of IIoT sensor info.
Note that you can also click the checkbox at the top left of the tabular data and that’ll Select All of the sensor data on the current page. This is a handy shortcut if you need to remove a whole bunch of data at once. Change the amount of rows of IIoT sensor data you want to see on each page, as well as the from and to dates, and you can quickly go to town deleting exactly what you need to remove.
1 of our customers requested this feature be added and a few days later this Industrial IoT feature was implemented in the Valarm Tools Cloud software.
