The Dart was one of our first test devices and we like its form factor, functionality, and price. Hence we bought a lot more of them and use them extensively for testing Valarm. It runs Android 2.2 and makes for a nice dedicated Valarm device.
Works well for fleet tracking with OBDII data while syncing live to the Command Center and data analysis plus reports from Analytical Mapping! Does not have a light sensor but it’s a solid device for monitoring and asset tracking. We use it with a cigarette lighter charger and the Valarm setting to automatically arm when it receives power and automatically disarm when it loses power. Then we know where our asset is at all times and we know when the vehicle is turned on and off. We’ve done this in cars, trucks, and even helicopters!
Find one (or many to track all your valuable assets) at eBay, Amazon, or T-Mobile. Using T-Mobile’s pre-paid, no contract $30 unlimited data and SMS plan has worked well for us on our Darts. But Valarm works with any cellular service provider (or just wi-fi) in the world so let us know how Valarm is working with your carrier and device! Also tell us what you’re using Valarm for at info@valarm.net !
