We work with SC – AQMD (Southern California Air Quality Management District) to make air quality monitoring systems and stations.

AQMD is a California government entity responsible for air quality monitoring and compliance in Los Angeles, Orange County, and the grand majority of Southern California.

Ready to remotely monitor air quality index information and any other environmental sensor factors?

Your organization can use sensor hubs, industrial sensors like Alphasense and ClairAir air quality sensors, connected to Tools.Valarm.net to rapidly deploy air quality monitoring systems to remotely monitor just about any air quality factor like:

  • Particulate Matter – PM1, PM2.5, PM10 with Optical Particle Counters like the Alphasense OPC-N2
  • Specific Gases – O3 (Ozone), NO2 (Nitrogen Dioxide), H2S (Hydrogen Sulfide), VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds)

In the spring of 2014, Valarm teamed up with Dr. Bhaskar Krishnamachari at the University of Southern California to perform an air quality pilot study on a USC Transportation shuttle bus in Los Angeles, California.

On the bus we deployed a Valarm device connected to a VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) sensors. All of the mobile, geo-tagged sensor data is sent in near real-time to the Tools.Valarm.net.

You can check out the air quality in 3D in the video above.

Made some space for the Valarm device to get its sensor on the bus roof. Don’t worry, the mechanics assured us they weren’t using this antenna any more and that we could remove it!
