What’s your newest Tools.Valarm.net feature? We’ve added integration with Esri ArcGIS Online a.k.a. arcgis.com!
You can now bring your GIS layers into Tools.Valarm.net in the Esri ArcGIS Tools tab. This lets you easily combine your GIS content with your real-time, geo-tagged sensor information from Valarm.
Now Industrial IoT + GIS gives you powerful analytics and insights from your assets being remotely monitored with sensor telemetry!
Here you see a screenshot showing you what you’ll see under the ArcGIS Tools dropdown menu on the left. First things first – you’ll need to sign in to your Esri ArcGIS Online account.
Simply click the link to sign in to your ArcGIS Online / ArcGIS.com account! You’ll be taken to a Login / Sign In page that uses OAuth to authenticate and link your Esri ArcGIS account with your Tools.Valarm.net net.
You’ll only have to sign in once and then your Esri ArcGIS Online account will be linked to your Tools.Valarm.net account.
After you’ve logged in you’ll see a message confirming that you’re logged in. You’ll also see a new button that lets you load a Web Map. You can get the ID for your Web Map from arcgis.com. Copy and paste the ID part of your Web Map URL into the Field called Web Map Resources Identifier and then load it up!
That’s it! You can see the fire and NOAA Weather map we’ve loaded in the screenshots here. Also note that the legend is on the right. Now you’ve got your ArcGIS.com layers AND your Valarm Tools Cloud layers on the same map!
You can make some powerful maps with this new Esri ArcGIS feature that lets you integrate GIS + Industrial IoT for remotely monitoring GPS-tagged, real-time sensors. Make exactly what you want to help your sensor telemetry needs, whether you’re monitoring water, air quality, high tech transport vehicles with industrial equipment, or anything else!
